About this role

As a Senior Markets Writer, you'll be a leading voice on how Stake can engage Australians in the world of the markets. You will help people stay up-to-date with news, stories and ideas while also helping them understand more about the skill of investing and the Stake platform and products.

You’ll set an editorial agenda and manage the delivery of written and visual content that meets this agenda as well as content that meets broader product marketing needs such as SEO, in-product articles and so on. You will maximise the quantity and quality of content delivered by managing a team of writers while crafting content yourself.

  • Utilise your deep understanding of financial markets and investing to craft insightful and engaging content that resonates with both newcomers and seasoned investors alike.
  • Be highly proficient at delivering written content as well as being able to turn this into visual content for social media, in-app/web video and so on.
  • Lead a team of writers to do the same as the point above, managing their content delivery priorities, reviewing and (where needed) editing their work, while also helping them grow as writers.
  • Confident in forming their own opinions and insights on financial markets, while being positioned as a thought leader across the media and other
  • Develop a publishing strategy that maintains the levels of engagement with our newsletter, blog and social media content - what topics we talk about, what stories we cover, how we do it, and so on.
  • Running editorial meetings with your team to fuel this strategy with fresh ideas.
  • Work with the Content Lead to understand what content is required to support their product marketing content strategies and balance this amongst the content delivery for your publishing strategy.
  • Support broader Product and Marketing stakeholders by delivering content that meets their campaign needs.

A bit about you

  • Storytelling: Exceptional skills in crafting and framing compelling narratives that contextualise market developments and trends in an insightful and engaging manner for a broad range of audience cohorts across a variety of channels and platforms.
  • Delivery Management: Highly organised and capable of running a small team of writers, and your own time spent writing to ensure fluid and rapid delivery of content that meets needs across the business.
  • Data interpretation: Ability to interpret and effectively communicate data, charts, graphs and statistical information to support market insights and analysis.
  • Collaboration: Experience working within a bigger team to produce well-rounded and cohesive market-focused content, with a capability to provide mentorship to more junior writers, offering constructive feedback to enhance their skills.
