About this role
You will help the team plan, design and deliver a scalable mobile/web application enabling Stake to scale globally across Asia, Europe and Latin-America. Our engineers take ownership, work collaboratively and challenge each other to build best in class trading, payment and research solutions. You will build highly available and maintainable systems, and have your say in how to architect solutions to solve customer problems.
More specifically, you will:
- contribute to and implement CI/CD strategies for a multi-region product using technologies such as CircleCI, Packer and Terraform;
- develop DevOps processes across multiple codebases using Git/GitHub;
- build out highly available applications using containerisation software such as Kubernetes and serverless technologies;
- manage network and access security using virtual network environments, firewall rulesets, and certificate/access key management;
- manage software products in a fast growing business.
A bit about you
- You are a hands on problem solver. Financial markets are complex and require creativity to provide a great customer experience whilst maintaining accuracy, compliance and availability;
- You have a strong understanding of:
- the cloud-based networking frameworks, including ACLs and gateways;
- microservice architectures and technologies like Kubernetes;
- You have experience with:
- both relational and non-relational DBMSs such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL;
- at least one of these Cloud Platforms: AWS, GCP or Azure.
- With Golang (desirable not essential)

- An interest in finance or the markets. Can be a curious interest or a lifelong passion;
- Experience working on multi-region products or in the financial services sector;
- You have built end to end applications. You understand how a modern web service is constructed, and you have experience beyond maintaining existing code;
- You have experience with security and you know best practices.
